Where placement meets purpose
Not all banners are created equal. Some inform, others persuade. Some invite interaction, others simply update. The trick is knowing what kind of banner fits where, and why.
Interactive banners work best when you want users to engage quickly. Think seasonal games, quizzes, or product matchmakers. Informative banners, on the other hand, serve to guide or reassure. They explain delivery options, announce new features, or clarify policies. Both are useful, but they serve very different goals.
Placement plays a big role, too. Above-the-fold banners get the most visibility, but they come with risk. Overloading the top of the page can slow load times, hurt SEO, and frustrate users who just want to get to the products. Below-the-fold banners are more flexible. They can appear mid-scroll, alongside content, or at the end of a page. These placements offer more creative freedom, but they must avoid interrupting the journey.
