We’re proud to share that NoA Ignite has been included on Fast Company’s 2023 list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies. The list celebrates global businesses pushing industries forward, and we’re honored to be recognized for our work in digital consulting and service design.

This year, Fast Company spotlighted 540 companies across 54 sectors and regions. At the heart of the list are organizations shaping what’s next—those rethinking how industries operate, how people connect, and how progress is made.

For us, this recognition reflects something we’ve long believed: that digital value creation isn’t just about tech stacks or clever features. It’s about reimagining how we work together. The organizations that thrive will be the ones that treat design, technology, and collaboration as one connected system—not separate silos.

A different kind of consultancy

Innovation is a word that gets thrown around easily. But in practice, it demands structure, intention, and a willingness to question the default.

We’ve built NoA Ignite to reflect that mindset. As a digital partner, we care as much about team culture and client relationships as we do about tools and code. Because long-term change rarely comes from a single launch. It comes from momentum—the kind that grows when people with different perspectives work openly toward a shared goal.

“As an industry, we must have far greater ambitions to help solve today’s significant global challenges,” says Kristine.

“That applies to us in the digital consulting world and to all other organizations. Yes, Norway is a digitally mature market with access to top-tier expertise. But I would argue that our Scandinavian culture—open, direct, and egalitarian—gives us a unique approach to teamwork compared to more conservative societies. And as anyone in digital knows, creative problem-solving truly thrives in cross-functional teams.”

The work that caught attention

Fast Company’s list highlights impact, not just ideas. And several of the projects that helped earn this recognition are now delivering real results in public services, sustainability, and healthcare.

Together with BUFDIR, we helped transform Ung.no into a more trusted, accessible channel for youth. With HUB Ocean, we’re co-developing a digital twin of the world’s oceans to enable better, data-backed decisions. For Aker BP, we contributed to the design of a smart advisory tool that helps engineers make proactive, sustainable choices in oil production.

In healthcare, we’ve worked on WARD 24/7, an AI-powered monitoring tool that gives medical staff real-time insight into patient vitals. And with Vestre Viken, we helped create a video solution for emergency services that improves first response and reduces unnecessary dispatches.

Each project shows what’s possible when we meet complexity with collaboration—and build with purpose from the start.
